When I first looked at it, I thought it was built from spare parts of a Pine Warbler, a vireo, and a goldfinch. I like Don's guess better than mine and I like Silly Putty's best of all. When the picture is enlarged that thick yellow "beak" doesn't look like the beak anymore. What does anybody else think?

Anonymous, I couldn't agree more! It's so much easier than chasing them all around creation. In fact, I might go to Meijer's tonight --- that way I can pick out my own Parakeet AND get some "sleep-eez" (so it's not so figgity) all at the same location! This "birding" stuff is SO easy -- look for a pretty picture tomorrow!! :) Mike VanderStelt
