Remember last year ...

.

... when I posted a shot of a Red-Winged Blackbird with no tail feathers?  Well he's been back all year, and it is obviously a birth defect, not just from fighting over a female. Also of note, he's probably the most dominant male of the 25 or so here.  A little like "A Boy Named Sue" perhaps? :)
