The two Anonymous comments raise a good point. Even if Dan had been more specific about the location, I would not have posted it here. In this case I don't know the location. In future cases, probably emailing me would be the best thing to do and I could reply by email with whatever information I thought appropriate.
I haven't seen an owl in the wild in a long time. Whereabouts did you locate this one?
