Birds at Wastewater Wednesday

Lots of action at the Wastewater today (Jan 12) No Goldens, though 12 Bald Eagles (4 matures) soaring above the dump and landing on the East Lagoon.  I also saw a pair of Red-tailed Hawks.  Short-eared Owls seen as in previous reports, not very active as it was quite windy. Also lots of Snow Buntings and American Tree Sparrows.

    You could have gotten ALOT closer on the Short-Eared -- I can't see the eyes of the Tic on his Beak :) Nice shooting-- you should print that one 'BIG"

    That little owl sure looks ominous when you get up close and personal!
