Made a trip to Muskegon Channel today (2/3/11). Saw a Hooded Merganser get a face full of water. A small group of Common Goldeneye head out to the big lake.

Also present were Mute Swans, Scaups and Mallards. The real treat was the female White Winged Scoter (correct me if I'm wrong). The sunshine was an added bonus, too.
