Carol and I took a ride to the Muskegon County Wastewater today. Not much in the line of shorebirds. I am pretty sure that the first picture below shows a Lesser Yellowlegs on the left and a Stilt Sandpiper on the right. The shorebirds were in the cell that has been drawn down. . The Grasshopper Sparrow was just there. . The American Kestrel was minding its own business, eating grasshoppers. Then he decided to land in the wrong neighborhood and the neighborhood bullies were on him like a flash. The pictures are displayed in the order of the action. .. Charlie DeWitt . . . . . . (The "bullies" are a gutsy pair of Red-winged Blackbirds.) . |
