Nancy Govan emailed today regarding a post at eBird called "Migration Forecast Alert". I just read it and think it warrants posting here. If any of you notice any of these early migrants in the next couple days while the effects of this weather pattern last, please let me know. Thanks! And thanks, Nancy!

Thanks for the info Ric. I guess I better get those wood duck boxes put back up.
February 26 - Saw two turkey vultures today. One flying over a field in the 2200 block of Kinney NW and the other flew over Lake Michigan Drive NW near the entrance of Aman Park.
Thanks, Anonymous. TV's were one of the species the article mentioned, and this certainly seems very early for them just one county south of us.
Anonoymous = Elaine F from Grand Rapids. Seems early to me too. Last year I saw my first turkey vulture on March 18th.
Redwing blackbird 2/28 near Burton and East Beltline in Grand Rapids.
I checked the nearby Woodcock field tonight; no PEENTS yet.
