March 5 Email:
Ric,
I am at the north side of the White Lake channel. Among the numerous usual ducks is a single male Surf Scoter in breeding plumage.

My translation of this Comcast "readable" voice mail is that the scoter was still there Friday morning. My thanks to "cancer-makowski" whoever you are: "Friday | March 6, 2015 | 11:51 AM EST | 27 seconds “Good morning this is cancer-makowski(?) it's Friday around 10 to 12 and I think Jim's service contacted you about the source-code(?) or at White Lake channel and how that bird remains there. I think that's excellent birth this year given the die off we had last year so I guess think he called you and that's probably on the website already but you could update it. Anyway talk to you later. Bye.”
I'm back from a week in Ohio and have now listened to that voice message. Translations:
cancer-makowski = Ken Sapkowski
Jim's service = Jim Servos
source-code or = surf scoter
excellent birth = an excellent bird
think = that
You just have to love computers!
