Muskegon Lake Nature Preserve

 American Goldfinch
 Blue-winged Warbler
Blackpoll Warbler

I spent some time Thursday morning birding the Muskegon Lake Nature Preserve, finding 39 species of birds.  The warblers were Yellow Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Nashville Warbler, Cerulean Warbler, Blue-winged Warbler and Blackpoll Warbler.  I also had my first-of-the-year White-crowned Sparrow.

Wow! I see so many beautiful pictures on here. I'm guessing that mornings are probably good times to look for these birds? I wish I didn't work out of town so much. I work 3rds mostly, so early is hard for me. When I go there it's usually closer to dinner time and I only see the usual suspects. I'm probably not patient enough or looking in the right places! It was kind of cute the other day when I was taking pictures of a Baltimore Oriole, and 3 young lads on their way to go fishing thought I was from the Chronicle!
