At 3:30 this afternoon Hank Veldman reported that he and Dave Elbrecht were watching a Sabine's Gull along the north shore of the West Lagoon at the Wastewater.
Hank Veldman and Dave Elbrecht are reporting a Sabine's Gull at Muskegon Wastewater as of 3:20 PM on 12 September 2014. The bird is apparently a brownish juvenile, and present on the north shore of the west lagoon. It was seen perched and flying. It was perched on the concrete shore about 1/4 of the way from the center dike to the west edge of the lagoon. It was last seen sitting at this location with a group of other gulls.
