Large numbers of Sandhill Cranes started showing up at Walkinshaw today. I didn't notice anything that looked to be a Whooping Crane, but they were a long ways off. This Golden Eagle photo was taken at the Wastewater on Monday 3/7/16.
Don and all. I asked Caleb Putnam to look at that crane, and he said despite its looking lighter than the others in Don's photo (perhaps leucistic, perhaps just the lighting), it is nevertheless a Sandhill Crane.

Don, thanks for the photos. It may just be distance, blur and lighting, but that bottom crane looks interesting.

Great Golden Eagle photo. Much better than preening on a utility pole ... they look pretty scuffy when perched. Ken
