Ruddy Ducks on Little Black Lake

At the bridge on Wood Road there were 6 Ruddy Ducks plus Common Loon, Canvasback, Greater Scaup, Bufflehead and Mallard.  Little Black Lake is ice free, so the west side of the lake would be a better place to scope the whole lake.

Charlie, where do you park on the west side of the lake? It all seems to be private property.

when you are almost out of Muskegon County on Little Black Lake Rd there is a point of land on the lake side of the road that is part of Hoffmaster State Park. You will be able to see where people pull of the road. There are no signs saying it is State Park. You will be able to see the State Park signs on the other side of the road (west side). Just follow the path to Little Black Lake.
