So Why Leave Home To See Birds?

I've tallied two "Year Birds" in two days without leaving my property.  Yesterday a Sharp-shinned Hawk (#48) perched in our tulip tree out front ... 

... and today this Brown Creeper (#49) crept up the telephone pole out back.
