On Saturday May 22 a core group of six birders with help from 11 others along the way counted (unofficially) 127 species of birds on our annual Big Day Count from before 5:00 a.m. until after 9:00 p.m. at Lane's Landing, State Game Area, Wastewater, Muskegon Lake Nature Preserve and Muskegon State Park.
