Hawk and Eagle Photos Plus Snowy Owl Video

.

.
I finally got the Golden Eagle (and the Red-tailed Hawk) Friday morning at the Wastewater. Also, here's a short video of a male Snowy Owl while it's actually snowing.

Nice pictures Mike. Sometimes a Sony camera works :)

Just wondering, what kind of camera and lens was used for these pictures and how far away were you? I've been taking pictures of the eagles for awhile around town and I can never seem to get some clear pictures like these :( I have a Canon 7D with a Sigma 150-500 lens. Thanks for your reply :)

It's a Sony A77 with the Sony 70-400G lens. I'm also turnin on the "built-in" 2X teleconverter, which works very well, as it does'nt change the F-stop due to light loss, and auto-focus is still available. The Eagle was about 280-300 feet away. If you have any questions you can email me at framework1@frontier.com
i'll be happy to help if I can.
