Today (Nov. 5) at the Muskegon County Wastewater model airplane fields at Laketon and Swanson Carol and I saw a Short-eared Owl at 6:42 p.m...
Now I know this is not a Mike VanderStelt or Don Neumann class picture, but trust me, it is not a Ring-billed Gull or a Pterodactyl. It is a Short-eared Owl! We got to watch it for ten minutes. There were two Northern Harriers working the same fields just before we saw the owl.
