Gull Identification, Anyone?

Mike, thanks for the email and photos.  I don't do gulls either, but hopefully someone else will comment.  - Ric

An April SBGU anywhere in the lower 48 is great. A note of interest, this would be Michigan's 3rd April SBGU!

SBGU continues today; Me and my group of three viewed him on the dump south of the E. Lagoon. He sat on a mound right under a bulldozer, right of the westernmost fence units. He traded various locations with his Iceland Gull friend, as dump trucks continued to swirl around, bringing fresh garbage. Observed roughly 100 yds out, and roughly 10 mins. Flew off after a human got too close, and didn't stick around to relocate the gull afterward. VERY nice gull, and am glad to have him on my life list! Good luck to many more anxious birders who want this oddity on their list. :)
