On the Wastewater properties this afternoon (Dec. 4) there were 2 adult Golden Eagles perched near each other in the same tree along the north side of White Road visible as you drive west from the Swanson Road intersection in trees behind the pine rows. Their golden hackles were obvious; also prominent on each were a pale bar of bleached, worn feathers on the upperwing coverts as per Wheeler, Raptors of Eastern North America. Other raptors on the property were a pair of Red-tailed Hawks perched and flying together, an adult Bald Eagle and 2 Rough-leg Hawks (light morphs) south of Apple Avenue.
